The Fish

The Apache trout lives wild nowhere else on earth but the cold headwater streams of Arizona's White Mountains. For more than fifty years it held on across a few stranded miles of creek, listed as endangered. In 2024 it became the first trout ever delisted because it recovered — the result of one of the longest native-fish recovery efforts in the country, led by the White Mountain Apache Tribe and its partners.

That's the story this release carries. Recovered — and not finished. A fish can come back and still need a way home.

The Product

The centerpiece hoodie is built to last: 16.5 oz / 560 GSM heavyweight fleece (65% cotton / 35% polyester) with an embroidered Apache trout, a double-layer hood, front kangaroo pocket, and ribbed cuffs and waistband in a relaxed fit. The cuff carries the line “RECOVERED, NOT FINISHED · 1973–2024.”

Colors: Arona & Moss Gray. Sizes XS–3XL. The release also includes a heavyweight long sleeve, a garment-dyed vintage tee, a rope cap, and an insulated bottle — each carrying the same artwork.

The Artist

The Apache trout artwork was hand-drawn by Tori Horton, a member of the Navajo Nation. Native-drawn art on a Native-owned brand — the fish rendered by the people whose lands and waters it belongs to.
