Nonconformist Feather — Embroidered Snapback
10% of profits from Red Hand and Respect the Natives goes to Native-led MMIP organizations and native fish conservation — every quarter.
Made when you order it — nothing mass-produced sitting in a warehouse.
A small symbol for a mind of your own.
There’s freedom in knowing that you can choose another direction. In questioning what everyone accepts. In trusting your own instincts enough to live by them.
Why the feather is upside down
The Nonconformist is Native Instinct’s expression of that way of life. Our upside-down feather represents seeing the world from another perspective and having the courage to follow your own path. Wear it as a reminder that a life that feels true to you may look different to someone else.
When the world doesn’t make sense, it makes sense to live in the upside down.
The feather is embroidered on a structured five-panel cap with a mid-profile fit, a slightly curved visor, and an adjustable snap closure. A clean, everyday shape with a story worth carrying.
The artist: Artwork hand-drawn by Tori Horton, a member of the Navajo Nation.

This item is made after you place your order. Please allow time for production as well as shipping.

Free U.S. shipping on orders over $100, applied automatically at checkout. Under $100 it's calculated at checkout — usually $5–10.
Check the size guide above — measurements are real, taken flat. Our heavyweight tees run true to size with a relaxed cut. Oversized hoodies are big on purpose; order your usual size for the full drape or size down one for a closer fit.
30 days from delivery to request a return on unworn items with tags. Email nativefish10@gmail.com and we'll send a label. Wrong or damaged item? We'll make it right, no hassle.
Native Instinct is Native-owned. 10% of profits from Red Hand pieces goes to Native-led MMIP organizations; a portion of Respect the Natives sales goes to native fish and the waters wild trout call home. We publish what we send.
Your piece doesn't exist until you order it. No overproduction, no warehouse of unsold stock, no two garment-dyed pieces exactly alike. It's slower. It's also the right way to do it.
